The great Rann of Kutch is known for its far-fetched glory and most significant carnival. The Rann Utsav symbolizes and celebrates the heritage of the region and its people. People celebrate the fest is usually in the mid of winter. This year it will commence from 1st November 2021 till 20th February 2022. 

It is a perfect concoction of colours, art and craft, culture, design, folk music, and dance. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for tourists and travellers to come together and witness the surreal experience of Gujarat. Additionally, it is one of the most anticipated tourism events in the country. The purpose of this rendezvous is to pay homage to the vibrant tradition of the state and its rich history.

The festival springs from the city of Bhuj and extends till just outside of the small village, Dhordo. The awe-inspiring tent city is created for just the purpose of hosting guests for the gala. Surprisingly, the place comes to the surface just at the time for festival preparations. Otherwise, it is submerged in the sea. As if nature itself preserves the beauty of revered ground for the annual celebration. 

While attending the fiesta there are certain things you wouldn’t want to miss. The most breathtaking view is when the white sand is bedazzled by the glean under the full bloom of the moon. The cultural fiesta accommodates thousands of artisans from every corner of Gujrat. You get the opportunity to dance around the bonfire on symphonic folk music.

From dusk till dawn. Sightseeing and visiting places is yet another unmissable experience when visiting the Kutch. Desert safari, hot air balloon ride, beaching, camel riding are a few of the famous and most enjoyable ventures to embark upon. The Rann Utsav has got your bags covered, with authentic handicrafts, you can take home with you a beautiful souvenir. And if you get tired and hungry from all the cruising, the fest offers two enormous dining halls. These halls are filled with extremely luscious and appetizing Kutchi cuisine that you can savour upon. 

The Rann Utsav is one of the most large-scale, celebrated winter-fiesta, organized by the Tourism Department of Gujarat. It presents a unique, fun-filled opportunity for tourists and travellers to be a part of and witness the mystical enchantment of Kutch.
