3. Kala Ghoda Arts Festival

Every year, the Kala Ghoda district of South Mumbai has a nine-day art festival. Although all the events at this multicultural festival are free to attend, only restricted by the seating capacity of the respective venues. The festival, which was founded in 1999 by the Kala Ghoda Association to promote and preserve South Mumbai’s cultural heritage, will mark its 21st year in 2020.

Surprisingly the festival is scheduled to coincide with the year’s brightest full moon. Not to mention, Maharaja Gaj Singh is the festival’s main patron.
