The Pykara river rises at Mukurthi peak and is the largest river, which is considered sacred.
It lasts two falls of 55 m and 61m. Known as the Pykara falls, The falls are located about 20 km away from Ooty and are situated in the state of Tamil Nadu.

📍By Rail: Mettupalayam is the nearest railway station about 40 km away and trains from Coimbatore, Mysore and Chennai connect to Mettupalayam. The heritage toy train from Mettupalayam to Ooty is also available.
