Well, yes they absolutely can be. No matter if you’re wanting to explore the very vivacious Dubai or any other of your choice. Doing them in layovers is the season’s new favourite.

The Mighty Dubai! – Layover 1 – USA – India (Ahmedabad)

Anuj Christan is an Indian descent US-based traveller who keeps travelling out of passion and desire. He is an IT professional serving in the USA for about more than 13 years now. On his visit to India, he had 16 hours of layover in Dubai. The same number of hours fell into his kitty when returning to the US from India. So he decided to make the best of the available time and thus set out to explore the extremely exquisite Dubai. 

When travelling from the US to India he visited the very popular and striking, the Dubai frame. This was done during his layover period in Dubai. For those who are not aware of what layover means, let me guide you. Layover is the time you spend in the mid-stop before your actual destination. Here your aircraft goes under maintenance activities and the passengers are provided with assistance to rest and refuel themselves. 

The traveller during his first layover headed to the hotel provided by the airlines. He rested a bit and then set out to explore the enchantment of Dubai. After strolling around some nearby spots he then treated himself to a Goan Thali (seafood special cuisine) at a popular nearby restaurant. The total incurred cost for the thali was $13. 

Later he headed to witness the magnanimous Dubai Frame that holds the best view of Old and New Dubai. The entry fee, however for the Dubai frame was $14. After visiting the Dubai frame the traveller called it a day and left back to the hotel. 

Come to Dubai, Habibi – Layover 2 – India (Ahmedabad) – USA

After making the best out of the first layover, the traveller decided to invest in the second layover as well. Thus, during his layover in Dubai when returning to the USA, he decided to experience the very popular and exciting Desert Safari. 

The total cost incurred for the Desert Safari was about $80-$90. Food, pick-up & drop, adventurous activities and everything in between were included in the package itself. The traveller got picked up from the Dubai Mall and was then taken to the Desert. There were a number of activities that the traveller indulged himself in. 

Adventures at Desert Safari:- 

• Dune Bashing 
• Camel Safari
• Quad Biking 
• Sand Boarding

After having these breathtaking experiences the traveller slurped some delicious treats that were set up in the desert. It was one of the finest treats he’s ever had, he states. After having his best time in the desert he marched towards the hotel, refreshing and revitalizing himself. With millions of memories and experiences lived here, the traveller heads towards his destination cherishing every bit of it. 

Talking about how the traveller felt about Dubai, he says the place is extremely safe and secure for solo and female travellers. He further states the way you dress here is an important aspect. Certain places have set rules for clothing that must be abided by. 

We never knew layovers could be filled with such wonders and excitement until our traveller walked us through them. Saving money yet living the best is what short trips during layovers serve. So aren’t you excited to have one of them? Well, we can see you jumping with joy. Don’t hold that back. Just backpack and explore.
