History
The Mahal was built by Maharaja Madho Singh, he didn’t intend it to be a palace for permanent residence but rather suggested it to be a stay during duck hunting trips. The palace stands in Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Mahal is built in the Rajput manner, with pink sandstone.
The palace was built in the year 1750 by Maharaja Madho Singh. Madho’s son II built the interior and exterior of the palace during the 18th century.

The Jal Mahal is located about 4 km away towards the north of Jaipur. It’s located on Amer Jaipur road. The entire trip takes about 30 minutes. There is auto, and bus services available for the Amer fort trip and the mahal trip.
