A marketing executive working in Ludhiana found herself on the treks of Triund among the valleys of the Himalayas. This 29-year-old travel enthusiast set her foot firm and moved solo around the town.

Let’s follow her trip and maybe find that missing puzzle fit of your life:

Neha Sharma started her journey from Ludhiana to Chandigarh by Train and reached Dharamshala by bus which drove her to her calling. However, for local traveling, she opted for the taxi and auto services in the city.

Day 01

Local Dharamshala exploring: Dharamshala offers a wide range of sightseeing spots for travelers to adore. Not to mention, overlooking the mountain ranges of Dhauladhar, the Namgyal Monastery is situated within the Tsuglagkhang complex. This complex also is the proud home to the residence of the Dalai Lama, among various other shrines, temples, bookstores, souvenir shops, etc.

Triund Trek: The start of the trip that made Neha travel from Ludhiana to Dharamshala. Triund is a 9-km trek away from Mcleodganj. It is also situated at a great height and provides a mesmerizing view of the Moon Peak-Indra Pass. You will reach the destination at sunset and wake up to the alluring sunrise at 5 in the morning. The trek should not cost more than INR 800 – 900/-.

Local Exploration: Traveling solo has been a liberating experience for Neha. With artifacts and manuscripts that date back to the 12th century, the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives is one of the pioneering institutions in the study and research of Buddhism. 

Not to mention, it is famous for the study of Tantric Meditation and Philosophy. The Gyuto Monastery is one of the most beautiful and popular monasteries located in Dharamshala.

After the serene experience of the Triund Trek, Our explorer winds up back to her life and continues her job with much clarity and calmness in her mind. Overall it cost her INR 5000 for this unmatched and serene experience.
