The man went on to make the smallest (0.5 cm x 1.3 cm) and biggest (20.75 in x 13 in) flipbooks. Both of which have been featured in the India Book of Records and Limca Book of Records. Panduranga feels that there is a dearth of opportunities for cartoonists in India.
Nikunj Vagadia (Rajkot, India)
Nikunj Vagadia has been collecting unique and glorious ‘Miniature Books’ representing the cultural heritage of different countries since 1988. 258 ‘Miniature Books of World’s Most Famous Titles’ are a part of Nikunj’s collection. He is the first person in Gujarat to enrol his name in the Guinness Book of World Record (GWR) for having the largest collection of 258 miniature books.
Sanjay Dayanand (Kokkarne, India)
Give him a pencil, and this young man is sure to come up with a miniature art in a jiffy on the pencil lead. Sanjay said his passion for trying unique things began with the making of the one-cm clay idol of Ganesh. It not only became a talk of the town but also won him the first Guinness book of world records title. Sanjay carved ‘Lord Ganesha’ in three different postures on a pencil lead in 90 seconds flat. It fetched a place in Asian Book of Records.
Haris Imtiyaz Khan (Pune, India)
At age nine, Haris Imtiyaz Khan set a world record for being the youngest life portrait artist. He completed the portrait in less than 30 minutes. When it comes to the world records by Indian artists, this is a major one. Haris has been drawing since the age of three. However, it was only when he turned seven, his mother, Huma, and father, Imtiyaz Khan, realised his talent.
Sujit Das (Nagaon, India)
Sujit Das is an artist by profession. He made into this list of world records by Indian artists because of the smallest idol of Goddess Durga measuring 1 inch on a white chalk stick. The idol has been already recognised as the ‘World’s Smallest Durga Idol’ by Official World Record – Record Setter World Record and Georgian Records Federation.
Harrsha Samudrala (Hyderabad, India)
Harrsha from Hyderabad has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records by Indian artists painting the soldiers, who sacrificed their lives in the Pulwama attack while walking on a treadmill. The official in Dubai invited him as a guest on Dubai National day. He made the King’s live portrait and received the Indian fastest artist award.
Parijoy Saha (Kolkata, West Bengal, India)
Parijoy Saha created the record of ‘World’s Fastest Painter’ by making 51 paintings in 35 minutes. The size of the paintings was 37 cm x 28 cm each. Additionally, it was made by watercolours, synthetic resin adhesive on white ivory paper. Affected with 90% schizophrenia, Parijoy Saha beats the odds and gets recognised as the World’s Fastest Abstract Landscape Painter.
Chetan Raut (Mumbai, India)
Chetan Raut from Maharashtra made the largest mosaic portrait of the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. The entire art measured 15 x 21 feet in total 321.93 sq. ft in size. Chetan used 4500 cassettes and set a New World Record. He also made the Largest Portrait of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj measuring 112.5 x 93.75 feet in total 10546.875 sq. ft. in size using 75,000 CDs. Chetan is an irreplaceable part of the World records by Indian artists list.
Ashok Nagpure (Nashik, India)
Ashok Nagpure drew the largest pencil portrait with the size of 72 feet high & 42 Feet wide covering with 3024.00 sq. feet surface area. Moreover, within 18 days he completed the drawing. Ashok created a portrait of the famous Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. He developed his hobby of pencil drawing since childhood. In the last 30 years, Ashok created many pencil portraits. His skills make him a befitting candidate for the world records by Indian artists.
