Road trips to your favourite destinations can be one of the most exciting things to be a part of. No matter if you’re tripping on your favourite bike or the car packed with your favourite people. The air is still gonna feel beautiful and the same messy which will eliminate your desire to fit into the so-called perfect world.

You don’t believe us? Well, then let us take you on a virtual road trip that our dear traveller recently had the experience to live and cherish. Shimla is a land of beautiful road scenery that emits extreme heavenly spread. If you’re an adventurous person, you at least need to live one road trip and then we’re sure you yourself will long for more.

Our dear traveller, Ravindra Khandrika, an IT manager based in Noida recently took a 9-day road trip to some of the most scenically celebrated spots to Shimla from Noida along with his super cool daddy. They undoubtedly had a blast of moments to register. We already told you that road trips are super fun. You still don’t believe us? Go scrolling, we have all the worthy reasons to make scroll worthwhile. 

Taking a road trip to the roads of Shimla was always on Ravindra’s mind. And this time he decided to make it true at any cost and thus, started his best preparation for the same. He called a number of spots and got the necessary pieces of information accumulated. Likewise, using his Google maps and other technological aspects he got his trip factually prepared. 

Here we begin! 

Ravindra began his road trip in his favourite car, with his favourite person from Noida. The road trip was planned as per the following sequence. 

Noida — Narkanda — Kalpa — Tabo — Kaza — Kalpa – Shimla – Noida

The trip was planned for 9 days out of which 8 days Ravindra spent driving. They began from Noida and halted at Narkanda on the first day. They made their halt at Hotel Hatu, HPTDC. The booking was made online which cost around Rs. 2,756/- for 2 people. The food was concluded to be somewhere around  Rs. 565/- (Afternoon Snacks + Dinner).

After marking their first day at Narkanda they left to visit Kalpa which usually takes around 4 to 5 hours to reach. On successful reaching, they halted at Hotel Kinner Kailash HPTDC. The cost incurred for a double room for 2 people in the hotel was around Rs. 1412/-. The food including dinner and 2 water bottles cost around Rs. 605/-. 

After having a magical stay at Kalpa, Ravindra along with his dad left to explore the roads of Tabo, which is at a decent distance of 4 to 5 hours. Further, they successfully reached Tabo and decided to seek shelter at Snow Leopard Homestay. The total cost incurred was Rs. 2500/- that included breakfast and dinner for a day. 

Carefree Roads & Father-Son Duo – THE BEST TRIP 

The next day the father & son duo left to explore the beauty of Kaza that is at a distance of 1.5 or 2 hours from Tabo. Kaza is well known for blankets, woollen cloths, shawls and more. Ravindra marked a 3-day stay at Kaza in hotel Spiti HPTDC. The cost incurred for a 3-day stay at hotel Spiti was Rs. 9444/- including the room, breakfast and dinner.

The road trip knew no stopping. It just went on exploring the unexplored with the most curious minds. Thus, after a 3-day stay at mesmerizingly soothing Kaza, the duo set out to wander the roads of Kalpa. Kalpa is located at the Kinnaur Kailash snow-capped ranges. It is famous for apples and Pinus gerardiana. Lastly, there are various exciting elements that make Kalpa a worth visiting site. A few of them are as follows:- 

  • Apple Orchards (Aug – Sep (best time to visit) ) 
  • Kalpa Town, Monastery & Temple 
  • Rohgi Point & village
  • Surreal views of Kinner Kailash Range

Heading back to Noida

Ravindra along with his dad stayed here for a night at hotel Kalpa with a double room costing around Rs. 2688/-. The dinner cost around Rs. 670/-. The next day i.e. the 8th day of the trip they left from Kalpa to reach Shimla, the ultimate beauty. It is at a distance of 6 to 7 hours. On reaching Shimla they stayed at hotel Woodrina that cost them around Rs. 2944/-. The food that included dinner and snacks made them incur an amount of Rs. 500/-. After a successful stay at Shimla, it was now the time to head back to Noida. 

On the 9th day, the duo set out in their beautiful car, once again encouraging the messy wind on their face and headed back to their heart spot, NOIDA.

Road Treks always add new memories to store and cherish. So did this 9 day trip for the father & son duo.
