Dhubri town is an underrated location where you can truly experience the beauty of this Indian state. It is home to some spectacular royal palaces, mosques, hillocks, and lush flora. Mahamaya Dham

Mahamaya Dham is a sacred temple located to the east of Dhubri. Bogribari Mahamaya Temple is another name for it. This great Shakti Peeth is iconic for Hindu pilgrims. As locals used to worship mother Goddess Mahamaya of Parvatjowar. Locals of the state, such as Koches, Kacharies, and Naths, believed in the power of Goddess Mahamaya. In later years, the temple gained popularity among Hindus from all around the country.

Rangamati Mosque

Can you believe Rangamati Mosque was utilized for invading the Mughal Army? Yes! This splendid Rangamati Mosque built in the 17th century belongs to the pre-Mughal era. The architectural beauty speaks about the historic Mughal era, constructed by Hussain Shah. The mosque, located 25 kilometers from Dhubri, served as a profitable area for Koch monarchs. Therefore, Mohammedan Soldiers deemed it a location to perform prayers.

Chakrasila Wildlife Sanctuary

This destination in the Dhubri town was once a Hill Reserve forest. The Government of India then proclaimed it a wildlife sanctuary. The magnificent place is home to various plant species along with some rare mammals. You can spot Leopard cat, Pangolin, Flying Squirrel, and Civet cat. Moreover, Porcupine, Kingfisher Jungle fowl parakit an Indian owl add charm to the sanctuary. Chakrashila wildlife sanctuary is also home to some of the most desirable reptiles.

Gurudwara Sri Guru Tegbahadur Sahibji

The Gurudwara Sri Guru Sahibji is situated in the centre of Dhubri, Assam. Sikh Guru Nanaka is known to have visited this historic Gurudwara in 1505 AD. Moreover, the gurudwara receives love from Sikh devotees across the globe. An event that commemorates the Martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegbahadur. In fact, it is also known that Sikh Guru Nanaka paid a visit to Mahapurush Sri SriSankardeva in this Gurudwara. 

Panchpeer Dargah

This place of worship is a model of religious peace. Mazar Sharif, one of five Sufi saints, is claimed to have accompanied Raja Ram Singh during his invasion of Assam. Regardless of faith or caste, residents of Dhubri town offer prayers in the Dargah. Nevertheless, the Panchpeer Dargah is an outstanding example of harmony and respect.

Victoria Memorial Park

Victoria Memorial Park is a pretty popular park in Dhubri town, Assam. The park is located just 3 km away from the central location of the city. Moreover, it is a spectacular park with lush greenery and statues of animals! As the Brahmaputra flows nearby, the park receives the peace lovers of the busy city life.

The Dhubri town is an absolutely beautiful destination to dive into nature through wildlife viewing. Moreover, this area of Assam is home to a number of sacred sites where you can become lost in spirituality!
