Theme Parks In India For A Thrilling Experience

Who does not like a fun day spent on stirring rides? Be it, kids or adults, everybody can enjoy fun rollercoaster rides and a dip in a giant wave pool. If you are trying to blow off some steam and have some fun with friends and family at a theme park, you have come to the right place. Here is a list of theme parks in India that assure you an enjoyable day. So, dive right in.    

1. Adlabs Imagicaa & Aquamagica, Lonavala

Adlabs Imagica is referred to be one of the most popular entertainment parks around Mumbai and Pune. It is the biggest theme park in India that also has a sister water park called Aquamagica. The parks are located in Lonavala on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway making it an easy spot for people from both cities. The parks provide a plethora of entertainment options including fun rides, live shows, show world and more. 

  • Timings: 10:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Ticket Fees: 1599 (Adults) | 1299 (Children) | 899 (Senior Citizens) | 1349 (College Students) 
  • The theme park has pick-and-drop options available. You can also take your private vehicle following the Mumbai-Pune Expressway route. If you’re travelling via train, the nearest stations are Karjat and Khopoli. 

2. Essel World & Water Kingdom, Mumbai

Almost every Mumbaikar has visited Essel World and Water Kingdom at least once in their lifetime. Just like Imagica, Essel World and Water Kingdom are amusement park and water park respectively, that are situated right next to each other to offer completely different experiences. The parks have been entertaining families since 1989. They are located at a distance from the chaos of the city. Finally, to reach the destination, you have to take a soothing ferry ride in the Gorai creek. 

  • Timings: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM 
  • Ticket Fees: 1270 (Adult) | 900 (Children) | Special discounts for students on IDs
  • You can take your private vehicle or a bus/cab to Gorai beach. You can also take a train to Goregaon and then a rickshaw to Gorai. From there you can take a ferry to the destination. 

3. Nicco Park, Kolkata

Nicco Park is one of a kind theme park in India. It is not just a theme park with the most thrill rides, but also an eco-friendly park. With efficient functions on solar energy causing no pollution or draining power sources. Besides, it also offers a ton of entertainment and recreational rides for an amazing day with friends and family. Given its enchanting architecture, it is called the Disney Land of West Bengal. 

  • Timings: 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Ticket Fees: 200 (Entry Fee) | 650 (Water Park + Entry Fee) | 1100 (Main Park + Water Park + Entry Fee)
  • Nicco Park is located near Salt Lake Bypass, you can easily get a cab or take your private vehicle from Kolkata and Howrah. There are several buses that can drop you at Nicco Park bus station.

4. Kingdom Of Dreams (KOD), Gurgaon

India’s first-ever live entertainment, leisure and theatre destination Kingdom Of Dreams is a unique experience in itself. Similarly, the park blends contemporary and modern India with technological masterpieces to give you the most enchanting visual masterpieces of all time. 

  • Timings: 12:30 AM  – 12:00 PM
  • Ticket Fees: 600 onwards
  • There are plenty of cabs that run between KOD and Delhi International Airport. You can also take your private vehicle, or book an Ola or Uber from the airport.  

5. Queens Land, Chennai

Queens Land offers both water rides and regular rides in one single park. It’s spread over 70 acres and has more than 51 magnanimous rides to enjoy. The place also has some amazing food in their food court to beat the hunger pangs between rides. 

  • Timings: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM (Mondays Closed) 
  • Ticket Fees: 550 (Adults) |  450 (Children)
  • This is located in Poonamallee, you can take buses from T. Nagar Bus Depot if you are in Chennai. Several MTC buses also stop at the Queens Land route. If you are travelling by metro, the nearest station would be Tambaram.
