BANGALORE

Known as the “city of Pearl”, Hyderabad has always been a trading hub. Earlier it was the only Global center for selling precious gemstones. The city is also noted for its historic Monuments such as Charminar, Golconda Fort, and many more. 

Whereas on the other hand, Bangalore is known for housing some of the world’s major IT corporations. Being in the list as the top exporter of IT services, it is also known as the “Silicon Valley of India”.

Aryanandan Vinod is a 24-year-old Architect who lives in Kerala and has a deep passion for travel. His upcoming birthday was the perfect occasion for him to take on a new adventure. He along with his other friend went on a road trip to Bangalore. 

Day 1

Starting the journey around 6 in the evening from Kollam, Kerala, they decided to take Royal Enfield Himalayan for their ride. The first stop on the list was Kochi. He had some friends there and wanted to meet them since it was on their way to Bangalore. He spent some quality time with them, took some rest, and resumed the journey by 2 am.

After a continuous bike ride, while still making small stops in between they finally managed to reach Bangalore by 2 pm. It took another 1 hour to reach where his brother lives. Having driven for so many hours, they were extremely tired and slept till evening. This was his birthday eve and his brother had a big party planned.

After another late night soirée, they kept the third day light. And utilized the opportunity for further planning. He along with his friend and brother decided on a road trip to Hyderabad. Having worked there previously they thought it would be a good idea to revisit some old colleagues and places.

They changed their transport and shifted to the car. Starting the journey at 4:30 am. First, they headed to Nandi Hills. A hill fortress that became famous by the name of Tipu Sultan Fort, was a summer retreat in the 18th-century. It features a large variety of stone carvings and wall paintings. It is also infamous for Prisoners that were thrown to their death from the top. Other than that it is also known for its astounding panoramic views. They reached the Nandi hills by 6 in the evening, just in time for sunset. “It was a blissful experience”, says Aryanandan. 

After a serene stop, they finally reached Hyderabad at 8 pm. They booked OYO and called it a day.

They met some of their old colleagues at Jubilee Hills, hung out at local markets and cafes. Later went to visit IKEA. The strolling took most of their day. For the evening they planned to visit Charminar and the bustling market that surrounds it. This was the end of their last day in Hyderabad.

Before leaving back for Bangalore they went to visit Durgam Cheruvu Bridge, which was under construction during their tenure. But this time it was completed and utterly magnificent. Spending a few moments in nostalgia they restarted their journey. After 2 hours they arrived at Bangalore, went back to his brother’s place, and rested for the remaining day. 

Day 7

Being the last day of their memorable excursion, they didn’t want to leave without meeting some of their old batch mates. They took their bike and explored Bangalore, went to meet some old pals, and did all kinds of exploration. 

They left the town in the evening and reached back home the next day. And just like that, their eventful expedition came to an end!
