Authentic India

Celebrated culture, heritage-rich places, uniquely prepared delicious food, appealing language, super warm locals, and much more make this eternally beautiful place ‘LUCKNOW’. The list doesn’t just end here. Another beautiful place at a decent distance from Lucknow, holding equal or more importance is Agra. It is a celebrated home for travellers to get in touch closely with the authenticity of India and its vivid culture.

Who would want to miss upon witnessing such a warm environment? Even our dear traveller, Himanshu Singh couldn’t resist exploring these magnificent beauties and therefore set out on a 5 day trip from Varanasi to unveil some of the most personified sights of Lucknow & Agra. 

Himanshu is a Senior Software Engineer by profession but a true explorer by heart. He holds a keen interest in exploring details of historical monuments and thus mentions travelling as an integral part of his life and growth.

In order to continue to learn and explore, he recently took a 5-day trip which started from his town of residence i.e Varanasi and covered two major destinations, Lucknow and Agra. He took this particular tour in early September 2021 and truly has registered some noteworthy experiences to add.

Varanasi to Lucknow:- 

Mr. Singh began his trip from Varanasi and reached Lucknow within 5 to 6 hours of his travel. He had his accommodations pre-booked with Oyo and thus, enjoyed a comfortable stay. He then set out to explore some of the most recommended spots in Lucknow like Rumi Darwaza, Clock Tower, Art Museum, Bada Imambara (Bhool Bhulaiyaa) and more. Such places are of great importance to Himanshu.

He especially visits such places to understand the miraculous art pieces and creativity of the past generation.  Summing up day-1 in Lucknow by registering memories and experiences acquired from these heritage-rich spots.

Lucknow at Glance:- 

Himanshu was all ready to explore and register new memories with new places and thus, he started his day 2 tour by visiting some super famous local markets that are well known for their quality, variety and cost. One major market he made sure to mark his presence in was the Hazratganj market. The market holds quite a reputable state in Lucknow and is in a way a strong representation of it.

He then moved ahead to tantalize his taste buds with the very famous, Kabab Paratha. It’s very unusual for a true traveller to visit Lucknow and not try Kabab Paratha. Himanshu loved the servings made to him. From its aroma to its taste he simply kept appreciating every bit of it.

After successfully serving his taste buds with the best he went to explore some important spots like Ambedkar Memorial Park, Aminabad, 1090 Chauraha, Hanuman Setu Fair, and more. Hanuman Setu Fair was a cherry-on-cake opportunity for him to explore. The fair isn’t an occasional thing but he was lucky enough to witness the real space of a traditional fair. He truly seemed to be thankful for having that experience registered. 

Lucknow to Agra:- 

The next day he moved to Agra covering hours of distance from Lucknow. He made his halt at Radisson marking a 2-day stay. The first day in Agra was all about travelling but Himanshu made sure to make up for the lost time by exploring the other day.

He visited some major spots of utmost importance in Agra. He began by exploring the most magnificent and loved monument globally, the Taj Mahal. Himanshu was blown away by the details of the beautiful monument and was in continuous praise of this fine beauty. He later moved ahead and headed to another compelling spot in Agra, just behind Taj Mahal, Mehtab Bagh.

The spot left Himanshu mesmerized with its intricate presence which made the quote heaven on earth word by word true. In the evening, Himanshu marked a visit to the Agra fort and explored its historical importance in great detail. The trip truly proved to be fruitful and left our dear traveller with the thought that there’s so much yet to be explored and experienced. 

After exploring the decided spots he left back to Lucknow where he made a 1-day halt and then left back to Varanasi. Mr. Singh wasn’t returning back alone. He had tons of experiences and encounters of the serene beauty that India held and that aspect of the experience that he acquired compelled him to explore, innovate and evolve better than ever.
