Driving on their own, they traveled from Bangalore to Pondicherry and arrived by 4:30 in the evening. They pre-booked their stay at 19 Villa Mira for the first 2 days. Heritage hotel, located very near the Promenade beach. The structure has a very elegant and unique French architecture and is a cozy place to relax and enjoy. It is a solo traveler and couple-friendly hotel. They hired a scooty for the next 2 days to commute locally.
Having reached late in the evening, they rested, freshened up, had dinner, explored the nearby local area, and called it a day.

Starting the next day early and fresh, they were all set to explore the White Town. Walls painted with bright Yellow Ochre, White Town is a dainty little town still preserving colonial architecture. It is brimming with cafes of all kinds, from quirky cafes to upscale courtyard restaurants serving delicious cuisine, while small crafts shops dot the cobbled lanes.

Owing to its proximity to the Promenade beach, evening strolls are very famous along the shoreline. Spending quality time here, they moved on to their next harbor, the promising beaches of Pondicherry. There are quite a few aesthetically pleasing spots for couples and families and solo travelers to enjoy. They explored Rock beach, Quiet beach, Serenity beach, and Paradise beach.

Booking some adventure for their last day, they left early from the hotel to Pichavaram and reached there within 2 hours. They rented a boat to explore the Mangrove forest. Kratika describes the view as magnificent and enticing. They rowed for an hour and later returned to the main city.

For the evening they went to Serenity beach, enjoyed local food, and spent time with each other in the cool breeze looking till the horizon.

Day 5

Having packed memories for a lifetime, they checked out of their hotels and drove back to Bangalore.

Kratika recommends exploring the place at ease. There are plenty of tourist attractions and you won’t get to see everything in limited days. So don’t rush, enjoy at your own pace. Experience the delightful cafes and beaches. The place is very safe for solo travelers, especially females and the localities are very hospitable.
