Where the goddess carried out a part of her penance standing on one foot, making it all the more sacred for believers.

Visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial:

This memorial was built to honor the revered Indian poet Swami Vivekananda. It consists of a pavilion with a life-size bronze statue of the Swami Vivekananda. There is a hall that has all the information about his life. This spot also has a meditation area for visitors to experience serenity while they are here.

Adore The Thiruvalluvar Statue:

The statue stands tall at the height of 133 feet and is dedicated to the great Tamil poet and philosopher, Thiruvalluvar. Moreover, you can walk inside the base of the statue and climb the stairs up the feet of the Thiruvalluvar statue for a mesmerizing view. However, ensure that it is not closed for periodic maintenance, before visiting.

Explore The Vattakottai Fort And Beach:

A 15 minutes walk towards the north of Kanyakumari, Vattakottai Fort dates back to the 18th century. It was built for coastal defense fortification. Moreover, the fort was constructed under the ruling reign of Venad kings of Travancore. The view from the summit is incredible. You can enjoy the ocean views and take eloquent photographs.
