1. Matrimandir

Matrimandir is Auroville’s beating heart. This place will alter your way of life and vision of life. Not to mention it rejuvenates you with its natural beauty and lush green environs. And of course, you can participate in workshops held here that will expose you to the goals of Auroville and help you extend your perspective on life. Additionally it also has a solar power plant and has well-kept gardens all around it. The sunray on the globe is replaced with a beam from a solar-powered light when there is no sun or after sunset.

A lovely beach around 10 kilometres from the ashram. It is one of India‘s most popular beaches, and without a doubt, it will captivate you in its beauty. It features clear water and a nice shoreline, which draw travellers here to spend some quality time. Because there are fewer restaurants on this beach, you can bring your meals.

4. Adishakti Theatre

Located at the outskirts of Pondicherry, is also known as Adishakti Laboratory Theatre Arts Research. It is well-known as a performing arts organisation, which puts on spectacular performances. You might be able to see a live running show here if you’re fortunate. It also offers the house to the artists who engage here.

5. The Solar Kitchen

This unique restaurant serves a vegetarian and global menu consisting primarily of vegetables and grains grown naturally in Auroville. Since December 1997, this kitchen has served the Auroville neighbourhood. This restaurant’s menu includes traditional South Indian dishes as well as food from other cuisines. The Solar Kitchen proudly serves 540 meals to schools and service centres while ensuring optimal food quality.
