Among them, Kadar Bux was one of the quiltmakers who presented a gift, a jewel of razai ( weighted only 250 grams) to Maharaja Madho Singh Ji. Stunned and overwhelmed by his efforts, the emperor gave him the title of Patel and rewarded him two stores opposite the Sawai Man Singh Hall, adjacent to Hawa Mahal. Today, the legacy of Kadar Bux art is being taken forward by his descendant, and there are multiple shops in Jaipur which are being run in his name. Apart from this family, other families like Lashkari textiles have also entered into the business of razai making. 

Designs/ Motifs

Since there is timeless variety in the quilts, the most popular can be observed are the Paan motif, Thali, Thali Phool motif, Sitara, Lines, Circle, and Diamond.

 Components
