Khilanmarg is one of the famous Indian valleys located around 6 kilometers from Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir. • The nearest airport to Khilanmarg is Srinagar International Airport. The airport is about 60-70 kilometers away, and this trip can be covered by cab or bus. Srinagar airport has decent flight connections and receives planes from all around the country.
• Rail – the nearest station to Khilanmarg is Baramulla railway station. By cab or bus, one must travel another 30 kilometers from the station to reach this fascinating tiny valley.
• By Road, one can rent a private taxi or book a bus from any of the cities nearby like Chandigarh, Ludhiana, and Dehradun. Since there is no direct route to Khilanmarg, one must first travel to Gulmarg and then trek to Khilanmarg or rent horses to finish the journey.

Alpather Lake

This lake, located 13 kilometers from Gulmarg, is one of the most spectacular tourist spots to visit. This lake, which is located at the foot of the Apharwat peaks, remains frozen during the winter.
