Kufri is a hill station which is situated in the district of Shimla and is located 20 km away from its capital Shimla. Kufri is derived from the local language word kufr, which means “lake.” On your way to Kufri Avenue, one can visit the boutiques and restaurants mix and check out the souvenir shops on your visit to this little hill station. Fagu

The tiny hamlet is covered by snow and fog. It’s called Fagu because the word is derived from the word ‘fog.’ The spot enjoys its high-altitude location at a height of 2450 m and is blessed with scenic views. Fagu is surrounded by scenic beauty, one can take a stroll around, or go on hikes to pine forests and apple orchards. A visit to apple orchards will also give you information about their cultivation. You can also visit the Banthia Devta Temple which is renowned for its intricate wooden carvings. On the trek from Fagu to the village of Chharabra Enroute Tattapani stream, you can witness gorgeous views of sunrise and sunsets.

Green Valley

Green Valley is surrounded by mesmerizing deodar and pine trees. As you walk inside the forest, you will be welcomed by Yaks grazing the fields. Moreover, it is named “Green Valley”, as it is covered with green blankets of nature. Also, the Green Valley is a gorgeous mountain range that falls en route to Kufri from Shimla. Hence, the Green Valley is enclosed by slopes on all sides covered with thick pine and deodar timberlands

Mahasu Peak

Mahasu Peak is the highest point in the Kufri region. Also, from this peak, you can clearly see the Badrinath and Kedarnath Ranges. Additionally, one can indulge in adventure sports like Trekking, Skiing, and hiking here as the peak is situated at a high altitude. Moreover, interested travelers can bring their own equipment or can rent the sporting equipment. The Nag Devta Temple, dedicated to a Serpent God, is an attraction of this destination. In fact, to reach Mahasu Peak, travelers can do a hike from Kufri, passing through the forests of the Himalayan mountains.
