Statue Of Unity, Gujarat

Perhaps the newest addition to the list of statues of India, the Statue of Unity was built in the year 2018. It stands 597 feet tall and is located by the banks of the holy Narmada river on the river island of Sadhu Bet. It is dedicated to the Indian independence movement leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This is now a tourist stop as the picturesque view from the statue is truly breathtaking. 

Thiruvalluvar Statue, Tamil Nadu

Thiruvalluvar was an accomplished poet and philosopher, and this statue was built to honour him. The statue stands tall on a small island near Kanyakumari. The construction of the statue was completed in the year 1999. The height of this is approximately 133 feet making it one of the tallest statues in the country. The statue of Thiruvalluvar is a work of art – right from the location to the view around it is all pure bliss. In addition, the premises of the statue houses a temple which makes for a quaint spot for meditation and relaxation. 

Dhyana Buddha Statue, Andhra Pradesh

In fact, it is one of the tallest statues of Lord Buddha with a towering height of 125 feet, the Dhyana Buddha Statue was built in 2015 and has spiritual significance. Moreover, the statue sits facing the pristine Krishna River and is surrounded by natural beauty. On your visit here, you can expect a sense of serenity and bliss along with abundant natural beauty to fill your eyes.  

Statue of Ahimsa, Maharashtra

The Statue of Ahimsa (translating to Statue of Non-Violence) is the tallest Jain statue in the world. It is located in Mangi-Tungi near the Nashik district of Maharashtra. Moreover, it depicts the Jain Tirthankara Rishabhanatha. Carved out of one single rock and stands at a height of 121 feet. The construction of the statue began in the year 2002 and was completed in 2016. Today, it is a holy site for Jains who come here to seek the blessings of the divine saint. 

Adiyogi Shiva Statue, Tamil Nadu

This statue of Adiyogi Shiva is one of the largest sculptures of a deity in the country. Moreover, the statue was crafted using 500 tonnes of steel and is located in the Isha Yoga Complex in Coimbatore. Standing at the height of 112 feet, this statue is devoted to Lord Shiva and is surrounded by verdant green farms near the Velliangiri Mountains. Visiting this spot is like a pilgrimage for most Hindus given the religious significance.
